The Gower Heritage Centre is situated in the picturesque village of Parkmill on the Gower Peninsula, 8 miles west of Swansea. The Gower Peninsula was Britain's first designated 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' and its beaches, with their golden sands, and countryside are still unspoilt and truly spectacular. The closest beach to the Gower Heritage Centre is Three Cliffs Bay, which is surrounded by an abundance of flora and fauna.
The Gower Heritage Centre is a working water powered corn and saw mill. There are regular tours around the mill museum, leading on to a Coracle demonstration and those who would like to have a go in this ancient Welsh boat are more than welcome. Following this, visitors can wander along our mill least and see the old farming and gardening equipment in the remaining part of the museum. There is a work demonstration and talk by the Heritage Centre’s blacksmith and visitors can also see the fish pond, goats, chickens and ducks. There are also several crafts activities/shops, woodturning demonstrations, Pineneedles, Davies Glass, Will O' the Wisp, Sirens pottery and Poppet Puppets, a Puppet Theatre. The tearooms are renowned for their excellent home cooked food where you can enjoy cream teas and purchase award winning cider.
History of Carmarthenshire

The Centre also hosts many special events throughout the year, including the Gower Folk Festival, Gower Guitar Festival, Halloween celebrations, Barn Dances, Ghost Nights, Autumn Fair, Cider making, craft & Family Fun days.
