Full Details
Originally chosen in the 12th century as a summer retreat by an abbot
from the nearby Margam Abbey, the cottage today still offers a peaceful haven with tremendous views of the hills, forestry and Swansea Bay. Approached via a long private track and standing alone surrounded by our own farmlands. Birds, wildlife and farm animals are your only neighbours and only 5 minutes from junction 40 of the M4! Cardiff, Swansea, the Gower and Glamorgan Heritage coastline are all within an easy 30 minute drive. The Brecon Beacons National Park is within 45 minutes and the Afan Park and Margam Park is only minutes away.
The Cottage offers a very high standard of accommodation for a maximum of 4 persons plus a cot via a double bedroom, twin bedroom (accessed via double) and double metal action sofa bed. There is a well fitted kitchen, separate dining room with seating area, utility room, downstairs bathroom and spacious comfortable lounge. The large enclosed garden is perfect for children whilst the generous decked area gives adults a place to relax and unwind.
The cottage has been inspected by the Wales Tourist Board and awarded a 4 Star grade
Please note due to the nature of the access track vehicles with low chassis (for example sports cars) would not gain access.
