Directions:

The National Wetland Centre Wales is located off the A484 Swansea / Llanelli / Kidwelly road. Follow the brown duck signs off the main road. Signs from M4, junction 48.

Admission info:

Free to WWT members. Admission fees apply, please see site for full details. The centre has a Gift Aid admission scheme which includes a voluntary donation enabling them to claim the tax back as part of the Government's Gift Aid Scheme. You can choose not to pay the Gift Aid price.

Facilities:

Estuary Café with a range of home cooked hot and cold food, fully licensed, hot food available between imd-day and 2.00pm. Shopping - the gift shop stocks a wide range of books, outdoor clothing, bird feeders and boxes plus a vast range of other gifts and souvenirs.

Full Details:

Stretching over 450 acres on the Burry Inlet, this magnificent mosaic of lakes, pools and lagoons is home to countless wild species as diverse as dragonflies and little egrets. Plus over 650 of some of the world's most spectacular ducks, geese, swans and flamingoes - many so tame they feed from your hand.

Families can have hours of fun in the indoor, interactive Millennium Discovery Centre and children can crawl and slide through the unique tunnels of the Water Vole City. Visitors can now explore previously inaccessible watery expanses on our Canoe Safari or hop aboard one our our fleet of 25 bicycles of all sizes and cycle through 200 acres of natural wetland habitat.

Or, simply relax in the comfort of the Estuary Cafe and enjoy delicious home cooked food, panoramic views and amazing wildlife and waterfowl.

By bus: routes run regularly from Llanelli to Llwynhendy, approx 1 mile from the centre.

By rail: the nearest staion is in Llanelli (approx 2 miles away).

By coach: parking is free for coaches bringing visitors to the centre. Advance booking is strongly recommended.

By bike: the National Wetland Centre Wales is situalted on the Celtic Trail Route 4.

By car: there is ample free parking for visitors.
