Full Details:
Singleton Park is a generous helping of hillside running alongside Swansea Bay
plus acres of simple, unadorned green space. The old walled garden houses the
famous Botanical Garden - containing fine specimens of rare and exotic plants
from around the world. Although the gardens are at their most stunning in August
(when a full programme of events, tours and demonstrations takes place) there is
something to see throughout the year. The herbaceous borders are a fantastic
sight from late March until mid October, and even during the harsh winter months
the garden has lots to offer with up to 200 different plants having been seen in
flower during the Christmas season alone. The Botanical Gardens have been long
renowned for their internationally famous Rhododendrons, but now also boast the
national Pelargonium collection - available to view by appointment.
